Papers consist of legal documents and property and financial records. Papers (1868-1891) pertaining to the trust estate of Mrs. Julia M.M. Graves include a mortgage (1878) of Old Town, a plantation located in St. Andrew's Parish (S.C.); bonds between Charles H. Simonton (trustee) and the law firm of Mitchell & Smith; a direct tax claim (1891); trust estate accounts; copies of deeds and conveyances of property in Charleston (S.C.); a memorandum of contract of sale (1875) of Orange Grove Plantation and Old Town Plantation; correspondence; receipts; and other items. Papers (1875-1883) pertaining to the case of Harriett E. Graham v. Albert H.
